She didn't believe it, was a bit afraid of it, at first. This verse speaks of Clary finding out she's a Shadowhunter. We also see what Clary basically describes Jace as: a broken angel, beautiful, etcetera etcetera. She speaks of the 'shadows and secrecy' that are the glamours. In this, we see mention of the glamours that the Shadow world has, the things which keep all the mundies from seeing the supernatural world.
